Shark’s Bay

A funny and quite rare experience is waiting for visitors in Sharks Bay, namely the possibility to get in the water with live sharks that grow up to two meters. As the guide says the lemon sharks are not dangerous to humans, but there’s no reason for trying boundaries , so the spectator watches the sharks from a couple of meters distance.

It is an strange and fascinating feeling to be this close to an animal, that we have been taught our whole life to fear. The sharks do as sharks does. Swim five meters to one side, eating fish, and then five meters to the other side eating more fish.

The Lemon shark has its name from it’s yellowish color, that helps camouflage them when they swim the shallow sandy waters. They live in groups and exists numerous places in the world’s large oceans.
